Slow Hand Design : Thai a spice

The exhibition Slow Hand Design-the third edition presents Thai-a-Spice, an exhibition will take place at Superstudio Più from the 9th to the 14th of April 2013 during the Milan Design Week. The exhibition, curated by Thai designer Mr. Eggarat Wongcharit, will show Thai tableware and Thai food inspired by vernacular wisdom. The visitors will be guided through historical origins and traditions to the most innovative flavours, artefacts and high quality ceramics, with a new mise en place style. Slow Hand Design is supported by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce of the Royal Thai Government. It shows the original manufactures designed for Thai food cooking and serving from the 4 regions in Thailand (North, East, Center and South) and it gives a flavour of Thai lifestyle and food cooking traditions.

The wise use of food preparation and cooking utensils enhances Thai simple cuisine, which is rich in flavours, spices and herbs making it one of the most appreciated cuisines in the world Fine Dining. Through a multisensory itinerary, visitors will discover tableware, ceramics and utensils design from past to present days, revisiting traditions with an innovative appealing approach. Cooking shows will tempt gourments with food tasting and information about ingredients, food preparation and Thai tableware design.

The DEmark-Design Excellence Award winning products will be also exhibited at Slow Hand Design.
