Experience Thai traditions via woven home decorations


PATAPiAN is woven decoratives item designed by Ms. Supattra Kreaksakul and Mr. Varongkorn Tienparmpool, Thai designers who had joined DITP’s TALENT THAI project to leverage Thai young designers of lifestyle products to the world. PATAPiAN inspired by craft practices and comtemporary aesthetics. The designers are obsessed and fascinated by handwoven goods have built upon the usual woven technique by infusing selected Thai culture to create attractive household products.


Having been a part of temple merit making ceremonies with the elders in their younger days, they noticed that everyone carried their belonging in a woven basket and which gradually became part of their lifestyle. Seeing the woven patterns regularly, the beauty of these unique patterns became their obsession, which they used as a base to adapt into their current products.


PATAPiAN products tell the stories of Thai culture and traditions, such as using how the renowned Wat Arun Ratchavararam temple-build their pagoda in the way that people have to walk a round to go up and to imitate this to weave their collection.


Modern, elegant, delicate, down to earth, and reflection of various unique Thai cultures are PATAPiAN’s strong suite.
